Beginner Sewing Classes in Brighton

Join relaxed and friendly private sewing classes suitable for beginners or those returning to sewing after a break. Participants will learn to use the sewing machine, thread it, wind a bobbin, sew straight lines, basic seam construction and finishing techniques. After mastering the machine, students can start their own projects.

  • Individual private tuition or small groups of up to four (group to be organised by you)
  • Classes for juniors, secondary students, and adults of all ages.
  • Students choose their own projects and work in a relaxed environment.
  • Use of adapted industrial shortcuts for better understanding of construction techniques.
  • Classes tailored to individual needs, scheduled around school terms.
  • A deposit is needed to secure an ongoing place.

Students choose their own project and work in an unstructured relaxed atmosphere.

In these classes, you will be taught basic sewing methods based on your individual needs.

Using Industrial shortcuts adapted for the home machine – enabling you to have a full understanding of construction methods, materials, and the sewing machine.

  • All classes are private and if you wish to organise a group of friend will consist of a maximum of four students.
  • Classes will be tailored to suit each students individuals needs..
  • Dates can be worked out in conjunction with school term for parents with kids at school otr afterschool classes.
  • Deposit required on booking class to hold your place.

Students to provide all materials, patterns, sewing machine and notions. I have a few machines that can be used if you have not yet purchased a machine.
