Do you love to buy Vintage clothes but get them home and they are not quite right? Do you find clothing does not fit you correctly?

Or you love the fabric and want to use the old garment to make a completely new garment or outfit? 

  • Upcycle those treasures and have fun in the process.

Classes will cover as required:

         2. Basic hand sewing techniques

         3. Shortening pants – preparation techniques

         4. Shortening pants – different finishes

         5. Lengthening Pants – plain/false hem

         6. Shortening skirts – plain/with split

         7. Lengthening skirts – plain/false hem

         8. Reshaping pants – take in/let out

         9. Reshaping skirts – take in/let out

         10. Buttons – press studs – hook & eyes

    • Sewing Supplies – gadgets and bits and bobs that will help attain that professional finish

    • Interfacing – what, where, how and why do we use interfacing

    • Hand Sewing – different stitches and their uses

    • Seam Finishes – French seams, HongKong seams, Bias bound seams, overlocked seams

    • Gathering explained and made easy.

    • Neckline finishing

    • Zippers – All

    • Waistline Finishes

    • Cuffs and Plackets

    • Tailoring made easy

  • other issues as they arise
